About this speaker

My career to date has been spent supporting clients with complex needs which involves various mental health issues, relationship issues, (both perpetrators and survivors), managing accommodation, drug & alcohol use, and offending behaviour. I have also worked within the Integrated Offender Management Team (IOM), located within the Probation Service supporting adults with substance/ alcohol misuse within a multidisciplinary team which included Case Managers (Probation Officers) and IOM Police. I therefore understand the importance of a collaborative approach to supporting clients/ families.

Prior to my current role as team leader at Jordan House, a 27-bed hostel I was the Horizon Project Manager within the Society of St James (SSJ). My role involved developing gender specific trauma informed practice across the organisation focusing on the needs of women and those marginalised within our Society. I developed relationships with other providers both statutory and non-statutory. I reviewed strategies, enabling the organisation to move forward to support those with complex needs. Supported managers / team leaders to not only develop their individual Services but to also develop their staff teams.
